Noah Select Shooting System
at Hoop Mountain Midwest

Hoop Mountain Midwest Basketball is excited to have available for all campers the Noah Select Shooting System. Noah Select is a proven method to develop a higher shooting percentage through consistency of shot arc. Consistency of arc allows controlling shot distance, resulting in fewer misses due to shots being too short or too long.

The Noah system provides instant voice feedback of shot arc during a shooting session and allows for a printed report of the session. A session report will show a photo of the shooter and a plotting of the actual arc of the shots taken.

Statistics provided on the report include:

  • Minimum - maximum range of arc angle
  • Minimum - maximum range of shot distance from rim
  • Average arc angle
  • Average shot distance
  • Consistency Rating based on the above statistics
  • Session shot percentage
  • And an overall Skill Level Rating based on all of the above.

For a detailed explanation of the science of 'consistency of arc' and the basketball shot, please read the article "How to Make More Shots" by Noah Basketball. The article is excellent and easy to understand.
If you consider yourself a shooter and haven't thought about how consistency of arc affects your shot, this article will get you thinking!

Also, visit the Noah Basketball website for additional information.

Noah at Hoop Mountain Camps

Noah Select will be a scheduled component of our Shooting/Offense Camp -

Campers will use the Noah system as a 'skill station' twice during camp. Each player will have a shooting session at the start of camp and then again near the end of camp. These two sessions with the printed reports and the shooting coach evaluation are included in the Shooting/Offense Camp cost. In addition, each camper will be entitled to two extra Noah sessions which are included in the cost of the Shooting/Offense camp.

The initial session will provide the camper with a report from which he can be evaluated by a shooting coach as to 'arc adjustment' needed in their shot, if any. The final session will allow the camper to see the improvement during camp visually by comparing the two printed Noah Session Reports.

Noah will also be available during meal times and in the evenings during the 'Extra Help Session' time periods for any campers that would like to have additional Noah sessions, for a nominal fee, which can be charged to their 'snack account' or pre-paid at registration time at a discounted price. Any pre-paid sessions must be used.

Other Hoop Mountain Camps -

Although Noah will not be a scheduled part of Hoop Mountain camps other than the Shooting/Offense Camp, we will make it available during meal times and in the evenings during the 'Extra Help Session' time periods for any camper that wants a Noah session. There will be a nominal fee for the Noah session and printed report which can be charged to their 'snack account' or pre-paid at registration time at a discounted price. Any pre-paid sessions must be used.
