JULY 24-26, 2010, 3 Days, 2 Nights, Saturday, 2:30 p.m. to Monday, 12:00 p.m.
Who should attend? Boys entering 8th grade through freshman in college in the fall of 2010 who want to increase their point guard skills. Players will be exposed to the most sophisticated mental and physical aspects of the position. This event will be a combination seminar/camp. The camp is designed for mature young men who have the ability to absorb a great deal of information in the classroom as well as on the gym floor. Our target student/athlete is a leader with a solid GPA who is also basketball smart.
Off-court sessions are held in air conditioned Illinois Wesleyan classrooms with state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment.
Our Point Guard head coach will be Scott Olson, a seasoned professional with almost 20 years of experience as an Illinois high school coach. In addition to his current position as Head Coach at LaSalle-Peru High School, LaSalle, Illinois, Scott has also coached at Orion, East Moline and Danville. During his career he has won the title of “district coach of the year” four times.
Please note: Point Guard students will join our Perimeter and Big Man players for on-court training/ games.
